Over the years, Aranda Primary School has gradually become a Nature Play oasis for children and the school community thanks to the school leadership team’s continued progress on the school Masterplan. With each funding granted to the school, the Masterplan we designed for the school 7 years ago is slowly but surely becoming a reality.
The teachers and staff’s vision for the Aranda Magic Garden was to repurpose the old courtyard space into a pleasant, quiet space for children with special needs. There was a small bog area at the back of the courtyard where water was held, but not distributed and properly absorbed by the soil and plants around it.
While the budget for this project isn’t big, the master plan completed for this area was still able to consider a way to manage the water problem and include design ideas from the teachers.
