Habitats for Life TedxTalk: Regenerative Microvillages

2022 December

As the year 2022 comes to a close, Director Paul Barnett’s Tedx Canberra Talk has reached over 1k views! In the talk, he proposes a more sustainable way to design our homes through Living Pod Designs, and a way for design to enhance communities through Regenerative Microvillages.

Director Paul Barnett’s true passion is to create an ideal living environment for all beings to live in harmony, so he has spent more time in his PhD Research developing the Regenerative Design of naturescapes, living pods, and studying microvillages. He volunteered his expertise to propose an ideal community development at Section 76, Watson, where the government has decided to do a percentage as demonstration housing. An Eco House Living Pod was designed for the internationally invited competition, ICIMOD Nepal Living Mountain Lab. He has also participated in cross-country teaching in architecture and landscape architecture departments to share these concepts. All these projects are done in hopes that a regenerative microvillage community can be actualised in Canberra, Australia.
