2021 April
This year, Paul Barnett has been involved with a local community youth group, Living Streets Association as a mentor and coach for young people.
In April, some aspiring young men, our future workforce, were taken on a tour of our architecture firm, and to Bluegum Dickson which was a building site at the time. In our office, Paul walked through some design features of the office, introduced the work involved in architecture and design, and showed some interesting drawings from recent projects. At the building site, the young people talked to Waterharvesting expert, Paul Totterdel, who talked about the building industry and showed them some detailed tasks on site. The young people were inspired by this tour and have gone on to find their first jobs in different areas.
During the school holidays, Coach Paul met with everyone at ANU Sports Centre basketball courts to do some skill drills and play games together. It was a great time for the young people to work on communication and teamwork on top of getting active.
