Turner Micro Village
Site planning was a response to creating two dwellings linked together and sited to enable solar passive principles to be adopted. It is where we start with all our work. Being warm in winter and having beautiful sun enter your home makes for a delightful space.

“This is the beauty of micro villages. We are working within the planning guidelines and creating homes space for a wide range of generations. This enables people to stay in one place and as their family composition changes. They can adjust the way they are accommodated by their homes”
As their family grows, more space can be taken over by a single family.
As the family matures, separate spaces allow for privacy and children becoming adult to have their own space.
As people age, space may be rented out to friends or tenants all with the capacity for social living or private living.
The separation of private space and social space is considered from the first designs.
Ultimately a range of people of any age may be comfortable accommodated in a micro village and enable social interaction and privacy.
