The Giralang Naturescape Stage 1 and Yarning Circle have been completed!
Giralang Naturescape Stage 1
We transformed the existing grove area and created a new naturescape using the rocks, logs, swale and berms, dry creek bed and water harvesting systems. Children can meet, talk, listen, run, play and watch in our meeting places of rocks, logs and trees. The water harvesting system also manages the surface and underground water at the same time.
Yarning Circle
The concept has surrounded by two circles of rocks with 4 entry points in the outside circle. We build the soil up to the same level as rock on the outside area and planted some native plants. The Central Tree is in the middle circle and surrounded by native grasses. This area can be used as an outdoor classroom, and children can run, play, and interweave through the two circles.
